Tandem Glass Gallery and Studio

tandem glass  Terrill Waldman and Charlie Jenkins create colorful contemporary blown glass in their Gallery-Studio in a saltbox barn on the shores of the Eastern River in Dresden Mills, Maine. Known for original, elegant design and rich, imaginative use of vibrant color, Tandem Glass creates limited editions of functional and sculptural work.
Charlie Jenkins says "My artistry is a by-product of my fascination with clean forms and brilliant colors. The challenge is to keep it fresh and relevant while keeping it interesting to me. My craft has never evoked any message other than beauty for the sake of beauty. Glass is inherently beautiful."
Meanwhile, Terrill Waldman says, "I’m primarily inspired by botany and color, taking many photos on walks and in botanical gardens. I mimic nature with my glass work by amplifying or simplifying patterns and forms.

Terrill Waldman began blowing glass in high school at Center for Creative Studies in Detroit. She continued at Corning, and Pilchuck.
Charlie Jenkins discovered glass blowing at Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire. He has since studied and worked at Pilchuck and Penland.
