September 11: Hidden Valley Nature Center with Joe Chapman
CSC will have its first annual Homecoming Picnic at this 1,000 acre preserve in Jefferson, a property of the Midcoast Conservancy. The walk is an integral part of the picnic activity, so register for the picnic. There is no separate sign up for the walk!
HVNC Trails and Facilities Manager Joe Chapman will lead our post-picnic walk on a small section of the trail network, which extends for more than 25 miles. We will take the Warbler's Way/Crossbill Loop to the Bog Boardwalk and back to see carnivorous bog plants, birds, and much more.
