Drawing Inspired by Cezanne and His Contemporaries

Drawing Inspired by Cezanne and His Contemporaries

Inspired by drawings from artists such as Cezanne and his contemporaries, create your own works of art using a variety of drawing tools. Some drawing experience is helpful but not necessary. Materials needed are a set of pencils, erasers, drawing pens and a sketchpad no smaller than 8" x 11". A basic set of watercolor paints and brushes will be used for some of the artwork. Class Limit: 8

Instructor Cynthia Dias is a watercolor artist who has taught art and historically based classes for a number of years. In addition to her artwork that features scenes of Maine and England, she creates textiles that are handwoven at her home in Newcastle. She has worked as a curator and director of various museums and illustrated a museum cookbook.
